Draft for legal review
Wumn should work for everyone, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom or captions. This page says what we do, where we fall short, and how to reach us.
What does Wumn aim for?
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, level AA, the standard India’s own guidelines follow.
- Keyboard and focus. Every control shows where you are when you move with a keyboard.
- Contrast. Text and controls are checked against the contrast the standard asks for, in light and dark.
- Motion. If your device asks for less motion, Wumn removes movement and keeps only fades.
- Forms. Every field has a label, and an error says how to put it right, next to the field.
- Zoom. You can zoom the page; it never blocks zoom or paste.
What does not work well yet?
Films and stories have no captions yet, and some photographs have only the piece’s name as their description.
- Films. Reels and stories have no captions or transcripts yet.
- Photographs. A piece’s photographs are described by its name, not by what each photograph shows.
- Signing in needs a code sent by SMS. If that does not work for you, tell us and we will help.
Something did not work for me. Who do I tell?
Write to care@wumn.in or call +91 99208 75373. We fix what we can and tell you when.
Tell us what you were trying to do, on which page, and with what (a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom). Write to care@wumn.in or call +91 99208 75373, Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm IST, except national holidays. If we do not resolve it, the Grievance Officer is next.
